Classic Tote

I recently won these fabrics here. I tried to follow this tutorial online to make a tote but that didn't really work out. I eye balled my measurements and got rather inspired by it.



This turned out better than my first project.

An Apron for My Mom

How easy was this? I traced an old apron on new fabric and voila. I bought the letters from Michael's Crafts and ironed them on, but unfortunately they don't stick well and therefore I will have to sew them on...

Baby Pants

I finally gave in and bought a sewing machine and this was my first project last night: Baby pants for July 4th! A little tacky, I know.....

They were so easy to make; took less than an hour. I used one of his current pants as a cut out guide and sewed a star pattern cuff on.

BTW; the stitching that I used is completely off! That's something that I need to learn more on.

Baby Bumper

A few days ago, my poor baby bit his tongue while standing in his bed with his mouth against the rail of the bed. He bled pretty bad. I wasn't home when this happen, thank God, because I would have freaked out not knowing what to do.

While he was napping this morning I made him a bumper to go over the top rail of his bed. It took an hour to make, but that's because I don't have a sewing machine, really. I have the hand held, $9.99 Singer, which is pretty much worthless!!! After several tries, the stitching finally stood in place. I am pleased with the results and hopefully it will get the job done.
